USB Memory Stick Price Drop

Along with the February Newsletter we planned to make a few changes to the Jordan UK web site. One of our most astonishing finds was our need to reduce the price matrix for USB flash drive hardware. Usually flash memory costs are volatile, but over the last year prices have fallen by over two thirds! Either we took time to adjust our pricing or our buying power was not as strong as it should have been. You will all be glad to know that our USB flash drive pricing is now very keen. Take a look at the rate card. And lets see if it takes a further drop in the coming months.

A DVD and CD Disc Manufacture cost hike?

The dip in disc manufacture demand or surplus UK disc manufacture capacity has certainly made it a buyer's market. It has certainly been a wild time for clients, with some plants working below cost on some jobs simply to hold on to clients.

Now that really is mad.

Perhaps things are changing; In the last year UK Disc manufacturing capacity dropped by 27%.

Last year Thamesdown in Swindon were bought by ODS, and significantly reduced its output capacity. Technicolor, once the largest plant in UK, closed down their disc operations here. Disctronics, Europa and Deluxe are no longer active

names. On Valentines day 2007 I received a letter from the receiver acting for the liquidation of the Lynic Group plant in Slough UK.

Will falling supply mean higher prices? Well, we certainly hope not.

Perhaps it is because we have a small facility, work in the B2B market and are able to respond quickly that our manufacturing plant in Slough grows stronger each day....

Look Out For Jordan Live WebTV

In March we open a new live WebTV service - developments in digital video delivery have reduced the entry-level cost for web-based business TV, and, better still, IT departments will love it because it need not touch their networks.

Opt-in members to this newsletter will receive an invitation to attend our Launch Jordan Live programme at 3:00pm on the 29th of March. A username and password will give you access to the Jordan Web TV channel from your own broadband connection.

Those currently attending are EasyJet, IBM and Nationwide... Look out for your e-invitation in about three weeks.
